The Södermalm District Administration is part of the City of Stockholm and works to create a safe, sustainable, and well-functioning everyday life for our residents.

The preschool department will start its own cleaning services in the fall of 2025. We are now looking for engaged cleaners who want to be part of this from the beginning and contribute to a service of the highest quality in our preschools, open preschools, and playgrounds.

Your role

As a cleaner with us, you will work with daily cleaning in preschools, playgrounds, and open preschools. Working hours are scheduled during the day. You will be an important part of creating clean and pleasant premises that enable a safe and educational environment for children and staff. Your main tasks include:

• Daily cleaning according to applicable cleaning routines.
• Ordering and receiving cleaning materials.
• Quality controls and self-checks.
• Ensuring that cleaning work is performed according to applicable instructions for chemicals, ergonomics, and the environment.
• Actively participating in the development of the cleaning operation.

Your skills and experience

• You have at least 1–2 years of experience in cleaning, preferably in a preschool environment.
• You have training in cleaning or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer.
• Good physical ability is important, as the work is mobile and at times physically demanding.
• You speak and write Swedish fluently.
• You are flexible, service-oriented, meticulous, and responsible.
• You enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
• You have good knowledge of ergonomics and cleaning techniques.
• You are experienced in using cleaning machines.
• You are a proficient user of smartphones and various IT systems.

Meritorious

• Certificate SRY BAS, PRYL, or equivalent training.
• Grades in SFI/SAS basic or equivalent.
• Experience in environmentally friendly cleaning and chemicals.
• Knowledge of quality work within cleaning.

Other

You need to be able to present an approved extract from the Police's criminal record before potential employment, as the work takes place in an educational environment.

Selection and interviews will take place on an ongoing basis.
